AI Notes for Biology Students
Krebs cycle, gene expression, and ecological models — your professor covers 3 pathways in one lecture. ThetaWave captures every step.

The Krebs Cycle
Citric acid cycle — central pathway of cellular respiration.
Acetyl-CoA enters the mitochondrial matrix and combines with oxaloacetate to form citrate. Through eight enzymatic steps, citrate is oxidized back to oxaloacetate.
Per cycle: 3 NADH + 1 FADH2 + 1 GTP + 2 CO2. Per glucose, the cycle runs twice.
Krebs (Citric Acid) Cycle
- Mitochondrial matrix in eukaryotes
- Cytoplasm in prokaryotes
- Citrate synthase: Acetyl-CoA + OAA → citrate
- Isocitrate dehydrogenase: rate-limiting step
- α-KG dehydrogenase: NADH + CO2 release
How It Works
Three steps. That's it.
Record Biology Lectures
Record molecular biology, genetics, ecology, or evolution lectures. ThetaWave captures pathways, cycles, and terminology.
Pathways Structured Step-by-Step
Metabolic pathways, signaling cascades, and gene regulation — each process captured with inputs, outputs, and enzymes.
Concept Cards for Every Pathway
Flashcards for each step of the Krebs cycle, each phase of mitosis, each type of mutation — ready for cumulative finals.
Sound Familiar?
Pathways have 15 steps and your notes have 7
Glycolysis, Krebs cycle, electron transport chain — each has dozens of intermediates. Your notes capture the start and end but miss the middle.
Genetics problems need the lecture context
You can draw a Punnett square but can't solve the complex inheritance problem because you missed the professor's shortcut for epistasis. AI recording captures every explanation.
Lab and lecture feel like different courses
Your lecture notes explain the theory, your lab notes have protocols and data — but nothing connects them. AI infographics visualize how theory meets practice.
Why ThetaWave Helps
pathways with every intermediate
Upload biology lectures and get metabolic pathways structured step-by-step — substrates, enzymes, cofactors, and products all included.
one card per pathway step
Auto-generate cards for each step of every pathway, each phase of cell division, each type of genetic mutation — granular and exam-ready.
textbook chapters, condensed
Upload dense biology textbook chapters. Get condensed notes with key pathways, definitions, and experimental evidence extracted, then use notes to podcast for review between labs.
What The Finished Notes Usually Look Like
These examples are closer to what students actually keep and review after class, meetings, or exam prep.

In this kind of workflow, the real win is not getting a quick answer. It is turning lectures, PDFs, meetings, and readings into material you can keep using later.
| Feature | ThetaWave | ChatGPT |
|---|---|---|
| Handling real course material | Lectures, PDFs, meetings, and readings for For Biology Students stay in one workflow | Usually handled one request at a time |
| What gets organized | Notes, follow-ups, key points, and next actions stay together | You still have to restructure the output yourself |
| What you can reuse later | Built to support review, writing, meetings, and longer projects | Good for one-off answers, weaker for ongoing study workflows |
| Grounding | Anchored to your own material | More dependent on generic generation |
| Fit for this workflow |
